LOCAL CODES

House plans from Locksley Studio are designed to comply with the International Residential Code (IRC). Every state, county or municipality has its own building and code requirements, therefore the plan you purchase may need to be modified to comply with these local requirements. A licensed structural engineer may be needed to provide the necessary calculations and additional drawings. Locksley Studio authorizes the use of plans conditioned on the purchaser’s obligation and agreement to strictly comply with all local building codes, ordinances, regulations and requirements, including permits and inspections at the time of and during construction. Check with local building department for the most current requirements. By agreeing to these terms, the purchaser holds harmless Locksley Studio and the architect for damages by contractor constructing the structure. Locksley Studio is not responsible for any modifications made to the plan by purchaser or third party.

 ARCHITECT’S STAMP

Plans from Locksley Studio are designed by a licensed architect. Because the plan sets are designed to be used in different municipalities, the default plan sets do not include an architectural stamp. If the purchaser needs a set of stamped plans, Locksley Studio can stamp plans in the state of Texas after reviewing the site on which the home is to be built and for an additional fee.

 COPYRIGHT

Locksley Studio retains title and ownership of all plans. Locksley Studio, as the Licensor, grants the purchaser, as Licensee, the right to use these plans to construct a single structure. Locksley Studio plans are protected under the Federal Copyright Act, Title XVII of the U.S. code and Chapter 37 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The plans licensed to the purchaser cannot be used or resold to another individual. These plans cannot be copied or reproduced by any means unless specifically authorized.

 ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

The purchaser consents to receive communications (including marketing communications, unless you have opted-out where applicable) from Locksley Studio electronically, such as e-mails, texts, mobile push notices, or notices and messages on this site. The purchaser agrees that all notices, disclosures, agreements, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing.
